Awards and Accolades
Department Award
Following my graduation with a 1st class honours degree in English Literature from Lancaster University, the Department of English Literature and Creative Writing awarded me ‘Best Overall Degree Result’ in my year. On presenting the award, they said:

"This prize is given to the highest-achieving Final Year student in the Department. All of those involved with the examinations process have been especially impressed with your work and your commitments to the Department."
SPA Award
In 2020, I was nominated for a Student Publication Association Award as ‘Best Student Photographer’. The nomination was in light of my work capturing student life during the 2020 UCU strikes, campus sporting competitions, and travel photography.

(The awards ceremony has been delayed due to COVID-19).

The Literary Lancashire Award
In 2018-19, I co-founded a creative writing competition and community outreach programme for 16-30-year olds in Lancashire. The award aimed to fill a creative gap in the region and provide young writers with an early accolade to boost their careers in the arts.

Within six months, we raised £3000 in grants and fundraising to run the competition and celebrated 80 entrants in the competition’s first year. As the co-founder, I gave free creative writing workshops to schools across Lancashire, organised the awards ceremony and self-published the shortlist anthology.

While this is not an award I won for myself, I am incredibly proud of the competition we put together and the incredible writers who participated and benefited from the prize.
